Because the veil between the living and the dead is thinnest on Samhain, your dreams may result in supernatural encounters. To use mug wort on Samhain, burn a mug wort smudge stick and take a warm bath with your Samhain soap, Sip on some relaxing tea and set your intentions before drifting to sleep. Be prepared for an interesting - and perhaps magical - night.
I wanted this soap to be Black - so the obvious choice was to use activated charcoal which is great for pore cleansing. Activated charcoal helps remove impurities and dirt from the skin, improving its texture and appearance.
Mug-wort for skin:
Mug-wort has soothing, calming and healing benefits which makes it perfect for acne prone, sensitive and irritated skin. It is well-known for its antibacterial, anti-fungal, and anti-inflammatory properties, artemisia soothes, heals, and nourishes the skin, helping treat redness, psoriasis, it calms eczema and other skin sensitivities.
With its potent antibacterial qualities, rosemary essential oil helps fight the acne bacteria from getting into your pores. This quality, combined with rosemary oil’s non-comedogenic properties, means that acne has no foothold as the oil both clears out pores and forms a protective barrier against future breakouts.
Rosemary is used during Samhain for remembrance and during the Samhain season, many of us are taking the time to honour the memories of our ancestors and other lost loved ones.
Sandalwood is grounding, calming and also beneficial for the skin, Rich in antioxidants, sandalwood helps fight the damage that is caused by free radicals and thus prevents the formation of wrinkles
